Program Objectives
The Master's of Business Administration (MBA) is designed for the student who has completed a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree and who desires to engage in advanced management studies. The focus of the MBA is the development of appropriate planning methodologies for evaluating and applying a firm's resources and core competencies to its business environment, matching these resources to the long-term mission and vision of the organization, and integrating these processes to develop strategies for sustaining competitive advantage. The objectives of the MBA are to:
- Provide students with the ability to identify opportunities for developing competitive advantages for a firm through detailed industry, competitive, and internal analysis.
- Enable students to interpret the market realities of business operations and match them to requirements for quality, efficiency and long-term competitive success.
- Prepare students to evaluate cost, finance, and logistical information for planning and controlling operations, optimizing decision-making and guiding long-term investment plans.
- Develop students' managerial skills needed to assess group and individual behavior and the guide organizational teams through the change process.
- Build students' analytical skills required to develop the managerial knowledge and leadership qualities that enable adaptation to competitive and collaborative environments.
- Provide a foundation for lifelong learning, professional development, research, and/or further graduate study.
Executive MBA Course Schedule
- Students may enroll at anytime and begin coursework. There are no classes to attend.
- Enrollment in the MBA may be for a single course or for four courses per year.
- Three courses must be completes within a 12-month period to maintain active enrollment.
